WHY WON’T I? By Micheal Ace

WHY WON’T I?

{ A response to Ogedengbe Tolu Impact}

I.
When grey hair dance on my scalp
and the black strands in mokery claps
Will i ask then that “Why won’t i”?
When it’s whole easy for time to fly

II
Why won’t i stab my eyes to this piece?
When i found my lost daughter in pieces
Why won’t i bury my niece
When my sister raped her of her niches

III
Tell me how much you will ask
when i ask to be asked ‘won’t i’
Or tell me you won’t ask me
What i said when nobody asked me.

IV
When mankind is doomed to die
Then my kinds won’t live to birth
But i will end the agony of man
Or tell me ‘why won’t i’?

WHY WON’T I
