Daughters of Nights by Olajide Timilehin Abiodun

Daughters Of Nights.
(Nightmare and Nightingale)

In the night they came
Armed with blade canes
They flogged mercilessly
Slammed us boisterously
We smile back to the night
We thought of the knights
What could be their sport?
What game makes their court?

Night is a wicked mother
She rears the beast of men
Thousand slaughter murders
Dreary in her eyes from ten
If only my pen is keen blade
I’ll stab you by these words
If quivers you solely trade
I’ll pay you the much afford.

Glee stealer off our Aké dreams
Judas for our nightmare stream
Hercules eyes freak for its con
Laicize we, with steeping sons
Darkness lame its gorgeous cloak
Don’t you heard the mongers flock?
Though the sun can’t live forever
Cos its flame deem no good either
But you, night, brings us the Nightingales
That sings solemn songs thrilling like ale.
