We are beautiful by Aremu Adams Adebisi

The morn is full
With splendour and with paean,
As words have matured
In the tongue of the stammerer;

The children’s smile chuckle
The silence of the grey,
As lullabies deafen the dirge
Reflecting a sorrowed soul,

Who knows we are the pen?
Who knows we are the men?

We make words waver
In the wings of the atmosphere,
Questioning their questions,
Relaying their reliefs…

We are beautiful;
For to preach beauty
Is to invoke beauty from the heart.
